About Chris Kontos

Currently Head of PR for Australian artisan wine creators Bird in Hand, Chris Kontos has worked across design, marketing, retail, and manufacturing in the fashion & lifestyle industry over the past 21 years. His roles as head of marketing at Australian retailer Harris Scarfe was where my passion for re-building iconic brands from the ground up was born. This led me to the opportunity to build my own, brand new international label TY-LR for Australian Fashion Labels in my hometown of Adelaide. Appointed Creative Director for the Adelaide Fashion Festival where I became the head of the fashion industry for the state government and a mentor for local fashion designers. I increased exposure for the event nationally and internationally with media, influencers, VIPs, and sponsors. Chris Kontos Creative came soon after, born from the idea of taking a new and exciting approach top branding, marketing, public relations, and events. Understanding the client’s needs in the current climate and developing a strategy that is best suited to their business. Companies include Acler, Rundle Mall, Jac + Mooki, Adelaide City Council and South Australian Style Magazine.
