About Chris Kozlow

Ever since then-State Senator George Latimer gave me my first chance to work in the sphere of politics and government, I have consistently sought to live up to the standards he set in my own professional life, specifically with how I can engage and assist those I share a community with. I have carried these standards and lessons with me through my experiences working within the Federal, State, and County levels of politics, as well as for a nonprofit activist group. I am fortunate to have functioned in a number of different roles over the course of my professional experience. As Assemblyman Ed Braunstein’s sole staff member in Albany, I was responsible for being the intermediary between the district office, the capitol, and constituents, which granted me valuable administrative and collaborative experience. This complimented my earlier experience doing casework intake for Congresswoman Lowey’s district office, and aided my later experience when helping New Yorkers with Small Claims Court issues via NYPIRG’s SCCAC program. Most prominently, working as a Field Organizer with the Senator Anna Kaplan re-election campaign afforded me enormous opportunity to hone skills in networking, recruitment, and political organizing. Working as part of a warm and productive team of colleagues with much to learn from is something I intend to seek out and to emulate in the path of my own career. Working on the behalf of the New York community has been my passion and focus since I was old enough to consider it. I am excited at the prospect of continuing to serve my community in any capacity.
