About me: Data specialist by training, risk and compliance professional by experience, ESG and CSR enthusiast by purpose. I am known for taking on challenging problems, devising creative solutions, driving projects with disciplined consistency, and supporting my teammates. I started my career building IT systems for a financial institution to comply with risk management frameworks from scratch. Then I moved on to building IT systems for a tech company to comply with international ethics standards from scratch. And now I am - you guessed it - building IT systems for an FMCG company to comply with EU sustainability regulations from scratch. Select achievements- In 2023 I repurposed a financial consolidation tool to fit the needs of sustainability reporting, fully putting my SQL and database-building skills to the test- From 2022-2023 I, as the compliance expert, collaborate alongside the sourcing team to develop a supplier onboarding process that fully complies with the accelerating ESG regulatory requirement. Besides engaging with global suppliers and internal stakeholders to implement the process, I also conducted ongoing due diligence to ensure all supplier ISO certifications were up-to-date- In 2022 I designed and implemented a monitoring system to comply with war-time sanctions against Russia and ensure a smooth relocation of our CIS business. I collected quarterly ERP data in select regions and assessed them to verify that no products were shipped to sanctioned regions- In early 2022 I successfully balanced 3 demanding commitments - working full-time as a risk & compliance specialist at a C25 company, defending my master's thesis in IT with the highest grade obtainable, and publishing my first academic paper on data analytics.
