About Chris Larson

With over 20 years of experience as a Montessori educator, I am dedicated to fostering inclusive, child-centered learning environments that inspire curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. I serve as a K-1 Teacher and K-1 Team Lead at Headwaters School in Austin, TX. These roles have allowed me to blend leadership, curriculum development, and innovative teaching practices to support the holistic growth of young learners. I am passionate about integrating Montessori principles with modern educational methodologies, including STEM and Singapore Math, to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. I also thrive on mentoring colleagues, facilitating professional development, and collaborating with families to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to education. When I’m not in the classroom, I’m dedicated to professional growth. I have completed certifications in Reading Readiness, CliftonStrengths Coaching, and Montessori pedagogy.
