About Chris Laszcz-Davis

As Founder and President of The Environmental Quality Organization (EQO) LLC, Chris Laszcz-Davis has over thirty years of executive management, professional, operational, technical and consulting experience in environmental affairs, occupational health and safety, operational integrity, risk management, product stewardship and corporate acquisitions/divestitures in industry and government. As former Corporate Vice-President, Environmental Affairs, Health, Safety (EH & S), Product Stewardship & Operational Integrity for Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation, Chris helped lead the corporation’s initiatives to reshape its EH & S culture, expand its global EH & S horizons to address the full life cycle of its organization’s aluminum, refractory and chemical operations, and integrate its EH & S workings into the fabric of the operational line organization. Prior to industry, Chris worked for the US Department of Energy (DOE) in both Washington DC and the west coast as a regional EH & S Manager and at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. Service to the global professional community has earmarked Chris’s career. Chris lectures and speaks frequently, has authored numerous articles and chapters, has been instrumental in orchestrating national professional telewebs, and has been the recipient of various awards. She continues to assume collaborative leadership team building and mentoring roles in bringing cutting edge subjects (such as climate change, sustainability, product stewardship, risk assessment, exposure limits and renewable energy alternatives) into the EH & S dialogue. Chris received her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry and Biology from Notre Dame and her Masters of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Minnesota. On a personal note, Chris is a huge advocate of two basic philosophies- “Wherever you go, go with all your heart….and “Believe in the power of one—one person can truly make a difference”.
