About Chris Leaver

International physical education department leader, educator, and sports/fitness coach, with over two decades experience across the UK, USA, and Japan. Currently Head of PE at the International School of the Sacred Heart in Tokyo, Japan, leading curriculum development, department admin and budget, PE teaching, faculty support, and student well-being. I use sport as a tool to teach life skills such as leadership, resilience, confidence, and agency - helping students build healthy, active, happy lives beyond the classroom. My soccer coaching background includes roles at English Premier League clubs West Ham Utd and Fulham, high level youth and collegiate coaching in New York, and founding Personal Attention Sports Science (PASS)- offering personalized training that combines sport, fitness, nutrition, and psychology. Certified in physical education, childhood education, sport and exercise science, football/soccer coaching, strength & conditioning coaching, nutrition coaching, psychology, and first aid/AED. Currently pursuing my ISSA personal training certification to keep evolving and expanding my knowledge and impact. Passionate about the positive impact sport and movement can have on every body.
