Previously responsible for IT operations at Strike.co.uk/HouseSimple. Before that managing networking and server infrastructure for Think Finance UK. This included expanded the company call centre to a second office, designed and configured infrastructure for third office in London, moved to a routed and VLAN network topology and was the UK lead in designing and integrating the corporate LAN as a child domain into the US parent company’s domain. Third line engineer for EnableIT, working any cases or projects lower skilled colleagues could not resolve. I designed and installed/moved to our new office and hosting centre. This included the network infrastructure and customer systems. Support Manager for Sharedband, including the running of the local facility, support for UK customers and operations of 7 data centres across the USA. For BP I was acting manager taking responsibility for day to day operations/installations at the Secondary Data Centre (SDC). Deputy team leader of six installation/operations resources at the European Mega Data Centre (EMDC). Responsible for making sure process and procedure was followed for installations and repair work, including change control approvals, Configuration Management Database (CMDB) entries. Responsible for diagnosing and resolving helpdesk calls and incidents assigned to the data centres.
