About Chris Manguera

Currently the CMO and Head of Growth of BigPay. Previously, I was the Industry Manager for Tech, Telco, & Travel @Google. Prior to Google, I was the CCO/CMO - Head of Marketing, Growth, App Product (UXD), and Customer Experience Design of GCash. I led end to end marketing across consumer and enterprise verticals driving 2-3X user growth YoY. I also managed Customer Lifecycle Management of more than 45M GCash Users nationwide, while driving Customer and User Experience Design for the GCash Mobile App transforming it as an everyday lifestyle and financial services app for every Filipino. GCash App is currently the no. 1 Finance App in Google Playstore, Winner of Asian Banker Best Mobile Payments App 2017, and Winner of Best Mobile Payment Service Award by TelcomAsia Awards 2018. I started my career in GCash as part of the founding team leading Strategy and Innovations Group, where the team drove overall corporate planning and investor relations where I led the Globe, Ayala and Ant financial investment to Mynt. Prior to GCash, I started my career in Globe Telecom as a Management Trainee where I served as Strategy and PMO lead under the Consumer Mobile Business Group. I am also an active member and president of the Markprof Foundation in 2018 - a marketing and leadership bootcamp that aims to provide real corporate training and marketing education to graduating students all over the country. It aims to provide equal opportunities for all deserving students. It partners with top institutions like Unilever, Globe, Nestlé, Google, GCash, McDonald's, L'Oreal among others. I am also a part-time lecturer at CKS College teaching IMC, Advertising, Digital/Internet Marketing, & Ecommerce.
