Listen, I am a musician, a writer, and a researcher. I play the trumpet, I write about listening, communication, and performance, and I love getting to learn from and listen to others and the world around me. I have a PhD in Communication and I teach, research, and write about listening, writing, and culture. I've written 2 books about listening-Performative Listening: Hearing Others in Qualitative Research-Listening for Learning: Performing a Pedagogy of Sound and Listening I've also written 1 co-authored book with Aubrey Huber about creative educational practices-Creating Performances for Teaching and Learning: A Practice Session for Pedagogy. I'm interested in listening as a way of being, a practice of curiosity, and a way of creating connections and enacting transformation and change.
