About Chris Nemeth

Chris Nemeth has over twenty five years of experience in the area of mental health and wellness. His training has been at the premier agencies in Columbus, Ohio. These agencies have included the Buckeye Ranch, Northwest Counseling Services, Nationwide Children's Hospital at the Center for Child and Family Advocacy, and Dublin Counseling Center. This training includes counseling and therapy with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. He graduated from the Ohio State University in 1997 with a B.A. in Psychology with honors. He completed his MSW in He has been independently licensed since 2002. His main area of expertise has been coping with stressful and traumatic experiences. He has provided many seminars and trainings in the community. He has been a leader in the field providing quality supervision to others. He has served as a Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Director, and CEO. His primary approach is creating a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive relationship. He is very committed to his clients. He also believes in practical treatment. All interventions utilized are based on strategies that work for a particular problem area. For example, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy has great results for depressive symptoms targeting continued self-defeating thoughts and a lack of awareness of emotions. EMDR is very good for processing past traumatic experiences.
