About Chris Obrien

Christopher J. O’Brien is President and Founder of O’Brien Capital Advisors, Inc. He was formerly a Founder and Partner of Endurance Partners, LLC, a long term capital vehicle. Mr. O’Brien was formerly the President of US & Europe for Investcorp International, Inc, a publicly traded alternative asset firm, overseeing $15BB in assets in offices in Bahrain, London and New York. Investcorp, founded in 1982, is the oldest transatlantic alternative asset firm in the world with investments in hedge funds, private equity, real estate, venture capital and distressed debt in 15 different countries on 3 continents. At Investcorp, O’Brien completed 40 platform acquisitions in pe investing over $6BB. While at Investcorp, Chris created the Private Equity “Value Enhancement Model” focused on middle market deals. One of the first of its kind in the US the strategy focused on bringing financial, operational and strategic skills and best practices to under managed middle market companies. In addition, Chris created and implemented a comprehensive due diligence and underwriting process that institutionalized investment best practices throughout Investcorp. In 2005, Chris co led the team that established Investcorp on the London Stock Exchange. In 2007, he raised Investcorp’s first P/E fund in the US and Europe, diversifying the strong historical fundraising capacity in the Arabian Gulf. Prior to Investcorp, Chris was a MD of Mancuso and Co, a middle market pe firm in NY and prior to that was a VP in the LBO Group of Manufacturers Hanover Trust. Chris is currently the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Bucknell University. In 2017, Chris was invested as a Knight of The Sovereign Military Order of Malta, a Catholic lay organization dedicated to helping the sick and poor.
