About Chris Osterhout

I’m a safety leader, systems thinker, and builder of people—driven by a deep belief that meaningful progress starts with accountability, empathy, and the courage to challenge what’s always been done. With over 20 years of experience in construction and maritime transportation safety, I’ve worked across diverse, high-risk environments—from scaffold decks and demolition sites to the complex logistics of marine operations. I’ve learned that creating safer job sites isn’t just about compliance—it’s about culture.I work at the intersection of field-level realities and executive-level strategy, translating data, dialogue, and lived experience into smarter practices and stronger teams. My approach is rooted in my personal mission: Resilience through understanding—because lasting change happens when we seek to understand first, then act with intention.I’m not afraid to ask hard questions or confront broken systems. But I also know that real change doesn’t come from shouting the loudest—it comes from listening closely, leading by example, and building trust where it doesn’t yet exist.I value sustained progress over momentary perfection, authenticity over appearance, and mindful dedication over blind obedience. Whether mentoring frontline workers or advising leadership, my goal is always the same: to leave people, systems, and workplaces better than I found them.
