About Chris Pipher

Chris Pipher is a Regional Environmental Lead with over 13 years of experience working in environmental management, client service management, project management, monitoring, and surveillance on large-scale multi-disciplinary infrastructure and mining projects across Canada, including those with design-build and design-bid-build delivery models. Chris is experienced working for contractors on design-build teams as well as conducting Owners’ environmental surveillance and auditing (e.g, conformance to contractual and design-build standard specifications, e.g, DBSS 165). His extensive environmental and management career includes projects in BC, Ontario, and Alberta, with scopes including large-scale earthworks; erosion remediation or protection; contaminated sites remediation; landscaping, site restoration and bioengineering; instream construction; and post-construction effectiveness monitoring. Chris has developed and implemented project-specific Environmental Protection Plans and Environmental Management Plans and is well-versed in the requirements of each. He is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control and has extensive experience developing project-wide and site-specific Erosion and Sediment Control Plans, recommending specific mitigation measures, and monitoring the installation and effectiveness of Erosion and Sediment Control measures. Chris is skilled in the overall development, implementation, and execution of various Environmental Management Systems (e.g, ISO 14001: 2015). Chris’s practical and solutions-oriented approach, knowledge of environmental legislation applicable to construction, and wide range of experience provides value in project implementation and execution.
