Currently, I oversee the Control Center organization, managing both employees and dedicated contractor tradesmen and technologists. My responsibilities include: Operational Integrity: Implementation of operational strategies, contract development, and maintenance philosophy. Budget Management: Oversight of the Instrumentation and SCADA budget, processes, training, and equipment for pipeline operations. Technical Leadership: Managing troubleshooting, preventive maintenance records, introduction of new equipment, procedure development, and the commissioning and start-up of new systems. I provide leadership and mentorship to vendors and less experienced technologists. Security and Compliance: Ensuring the maintenance of SCADA and Leak Detection systems' hardware, software, and security within pipeline operations. Project Management: Serving as a technical lead in HAZOPs, P & ID reviews, and acting as a Project Liaison. Custom Applications: Leading and mentoring in the development and support of custom SCADA and Leak Detection applications. Alarm Management: Accountable for effective alarm monitoring and rationalization.
