About Chris Randles

Chris Randles has over 35 years experience in the software industry. His career has encompassed a variety of sales, marketing, and general management positions in the US and Europe for application and enterprise software companies. He has contributed successfully to new and established enterprises, and has managed businesses at all stages of development, from startup to turnaround and profitable growth. He has a strong belief in, and commitment to, global strategy. Chris is an active angel and venture investor, and serves as an adviser and board member to several early- and growth-stage companies. Chris was most recently CEO of SpaceClaim Corp, an innovator in 3D mechanical design and modeling, funded by North Bridge Venture Partners, Kodiak Venture Partners, Borealis Ventures and Needham & Co. SpaceClaim was acquired by ANSYS, Inc. Before joining SpaceClaim, Chris was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Borealis Ventures, and before that, led the management buyout of Mathsoft and served as its Chairman, President, and CEO until the company was acquired by PTC (Parametric Technology Corp.). Chris holds BA/MA degrees from the University of Oxford, England.
