About Chris Reem

I’m a recent graduate from Arizona State University with a Master's in Sustainability Leadership and Strategy. I have a strong passion to help businesses and cities generate systematic change for environmental protection and sustainable development. My time as a volunteer in Cambodia and Thailand catalyzed my insatiable desire to delve into a career that will provide tangible societal and environment impact for society. Through my internship last summer with Hewlett-Packard as a Retail Solutions and Sustainability Intern, I gained knowledge in how large corporations like HP can innovate impact. Some of my diverse projects included: researching and documenting companies integrating ocean plastics into products, formulating competitive analysis on the technology industry's social impact goals and progress, launching an internal sustainability video series to generate employee buy-in on social impact, and designing a ocean-pound display box to illustrate to customers visiting HP's welcome centers how this company incorporates ocean-bound plastic into their products. Companies can be powerful mechanisms of dynamic change. Sustainability has proven that the practice isn’t just good for the planet, it’s good for business.
