About Chris Rice

A little bit about me. I have experience in everything domestic transportation management with a focus on truckload shipments. I have worked in just about every level in a manufacturing environment and take great pride in that. I worked my way from the bottom up, starting as a temporary employee on the manufacturing/production floor, all the way to where I am today. I've been the low man on the totem pole as well as the leader of a team of 40+ collegues and associates. A decade of experience across various levels provides me a unique viewpoint for change management and implementation. I focus on issues with processes over people, especially when it comes to change management, and understand the benefits of "tribal knowledge" and great communication across all levels. I'm a firm believer in continuious improvement, and working as a team to acomplish complex goals. Currently finding fulfillment negotiating transportation contracts, facilitating RFPs, and working with a small but great team through an awe inspiring transformation process. I handle strategic planning responsible for managing roughly $200M in spend while successfully forecasting to ensure business predictability and reliability, allowing better decisions to be made on longer term strategies. Key skills would include (but not be limited to)- Excel and advanced data analyitics - Contract Negotiations - Strategic Planning - Logistics - Management (both people and resources)
