Background
About Chris Riedener
I have more than twenty five years of CAD/CAE tool development, application support and methodology development experience at Intel. I've contributed to many IA-32 and IA-64 micro processor and SOC designs. My areas of expertise include: design flow/methodology, cell based design, physical design (PD), design automation, and design for test. My current work includes register file design and design methodology development. I'm working on leading edge process nodes, using industry CAD tools. I spent seven years in the U.S. Army (Hawk and Patriot missile electronics). I am a strong believer in diverse teams, solving complex problems using collective intelligence. My dominant "Big Five" personality trait is openness to experience. I have many personal interests: technology, neuroscience/psychology, natural history, anthropology, and photography. I'm physically active - I run, ski, and bike on a regular basis. I spent 25 years climbing: alpine rock, snow, ice and ski mountaineering. I've traveled extensively in the Americas, Europe and Asia. I'm an active private pilot and member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). I've been an EAA chapter 105 board member since 2019 and chapter president 2022. The chapter has about 350 active/inactive members. I'm a founding member of the American Airmen's Association LLC. The LLC built and now maintains a Van's RV-12iS kit airplane. I volunteered at the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum restoration shop 2016-2018. I own a restored 1930 model A Ford that was purchased by my father about 1957. I've done significant research on my paternal family history, and early Swiss embroidery machines. I've published three Wikipedia articles about the early 19th century machines and the industry in New Jersey. The details of this once important, but obscure industry are fading with time: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_embroidery_machine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schiffli_embroidery_machine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Reiner_(businessman)
