I am an experienced and qualified franchise and funding professional now providing a variety of services (including business training, funding, business planning, recruitment, marketing, resales and business health-checks/valuations) to both Franchisors and Franchisees through three different businesses, namely Franchise Business Training and Consultancy Limited (co-founder and Chairman), NGI Franchise Funding (Senior Consultant) and Chantry Group (Senior Business Consultant and Valuer). Realising the opportunities that were emerging in UK Franchising, I started to specialise in this sector which ultimately led to the establishment of Franchise Finance Limited which became the UK Franchise’s premier provider of brokered finance, business planning and business training. I became a British Franchise Association Qualified Franchise Professional (QFP) and then trained many franchisors through our Training Academy to become similarly qualified, thus helping to raise the standards, professionalism and financial awareness across the industry. This is something that I am very passionate about. My business partner and I sold Franchise Finance Limited to Hitachi Capital in 2018 and following some ‘time out’ to decide ‘what’s next’, I took up a number of non-exec, mentoring and Chairman roles. I am a regular speaker at Franchise conferences and exhibitions etc. and also contribute a variety of educational articles and blogs on business and franchise issues.
