About Chris Rockafellow

Here is my story! I grew up on a farm in northern Iowa, a cold and simple childhood where I learned about hard work, responsibility and how to have fun! While the corn was growing in the fields, and needing less attention, my parents traveled with me to many places throughout the United States. I was very fortunate to have these experiences as my creative mind grew! After High School, I studied Commercial and Industrial Photography, along with business at Hawkeye Institute of Technology. I graduated top in my class in 1991, I then started my pursuit of being a photographer. I was very successful with this vision and by 1997, I was voted Photographer of the Year in Missouri. This same year I received my Masters of Photography though PPA, and was published in the Professional Photographers of America magazine as being an up and coming artist. I meet my wife in Springfield Missouri and we started a business as photographers in I continued winning regional and national awards from Kodak and Fuji Films. I traveled to many conferences and expos throughout the Midwest speaking on the subjects of photography and business, and our studio grew into a successful studio that is, still in operation today! With the freight industry growing up all around me, it wasn’t long before my interests started to grow in the logistics community and in 2010 I turned my attention in that direction. My path lead me to Con-way Freight where I became a Billing Sales Representative in the Springfield Joplin area, then onto Freight Classification Specialist and Area Supervisor of Weights & Inspection with XPO Logistics. I enjoy being with my family in the country, where we can enjoy nature, and have the pleasure of working outside with our animals, living a life inspired by my roots on the farm!
