Background
About Chris Roque
I am an intelligent, self-motivated, recent college graduate with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. I was lucky enough to gain experience and knowledge in my field while serving in the United States Army Reserve and interning as an Student Electrical Engineer at the National Institutes of Health. My education and work experience has provided me knowledge and extensive experience with different programming languages, CAD softwares (such as Inventor and SolidWorks), and several hardware equipment (such as multimeters and oscilloscopes). I work with a team of electrical engineers at the National Institutes of Health to enhance and create prototype technology in order to further biomedical research. This consists of programming, PCB design and assembly, mechanical CAD design and assembly, laser cutting, and 3D printing. I have also had the privilege to serve in the US Army Reserve for the last 6 years. Since then, I have successfully worked with a team to maintain 2kW and 5kW power generators in order to provide electricity for a unit of 100 soldiers during our time in the field. I can bring to the table a broad technical knowledge and a foundation of skills to quickly adapt to a new work environment. You will find that my work ethic is strong and that I am an analytical problem solver that possess communication skills. My ability to work in cooperation with teams and individuals has allowed me to consistently reach my goals. I intend to demonstrate success in the position of Electrical Engineer. I am confident that you will be pleased with the skills and experience portrayed in the accompanying resume. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
