About Chris Saunders

I was formerly the Creative Director for the rapidly growing culinary brand Canghsan Cutlery Company [32 design awards, 50+ patented designs, thousands of 5 star reviews on Amazon, sold in Costco, Williams Sonoma and Crate & Barrel on top of having world renowned Michelin Star Chef Thomas Keller as brand ambassador] where I contributed to the overall branding, package design, creation of marketing materials and marketing strategies implemented since its launch in 2015. My responsibilities included creating assets [i.e. graphics/videos/photos] for various video, digital and print advertising as well as social media campaigns, email campaigns and a company Youtube channel, the majority of the company's copywriting, graphic, video and design work for online and in-store sales listings, displays and training materials as well as creating various assets for the sales team’s presentations to retailers and clients. On the administration side of my role I oversaw applications for and management of company trademarks, international registrations and design patents, project management and implementation of national and international trade show exhibitions, coordinating video/photoshoots with brand ambassadors and content creators, researching, purchasing and maintaining video and photo equipment for the in-house studio, posting to social media channels and managing the company Youtube channel. Mostly I found my job was to be clever and develop new ideas that became relevant, effective solutions and then execute and manage those solutions. The success I found at Cangshan Cutlery Company was largely due to excellent vision from leadership, a phenomenal and adept team and the autonomous space to excel.
