About Chris Selmi

Chris has been President of WesPay Advisors, WesPay's payments consulting subsidiary since 2016, which offers consulting services in the areas of payments strategy, compliance, process improvement and risk management. He also serves as WesPay's Senior Vice President of Risk and Regulatory Compliance, joining the team in 2012. He is responsible for defining and executing initiatives to position WesPay as a trusted knowledge source for payment-related regulatory impacts. He works with members and clients to develop processes and programs designed to facilitate compliance with payments law, regulations, and industry standards. Chris holds the designation of Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) from the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) and Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) from the Institute of Certified Bankers. Prior to joining WesPay Chris spent 16 years in the electronic payments organization at Bank of America where he served in a variety of capacities within the electronic payments operation including production manager, project support, client and application testing, and compliance and regulatory control manager. Chris served on the WesPay Board as Bank of America’s representative from 2008 to 2012 and Chaired its Rules Advisory Council and Risk Management Advisory Council, and is a current member of NACHA’s Risk Management Advisory Group. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
