About Chris Sparkes

Tax Partner at Lubbock Fine until 1 June 2021. I specialise in providing tax advice to Entrepreneurial Businesses and the high net worth individuals linked to them. Whilst my focus is on advising companies on business tax issues, over the years I have amassed a wealth of experience in advising on a huge variety of areas of taxation covering corporate tax, personal tax and capital gains tax. I have advised everything from Owner Managed Businesses through to AIM listed and fully listed companies. Currently, most of my clients are large corporate groups which face a variety of international tax issues, although I still advise Owner Managed Businesses on a variety of topics, including the corporate and shareholder implications of M&A activity. My experience covers everything from maximising tax reliefs such as R&D tax credits and Capital Allowances through to complex UK and international tax planning. This includes input on reorganisations and reconstructions, shareholder planning, share schemes, M&A and Transaction Support advice, CFC reviews, ATCAs, Permanent Establsihment issues and tax efficient operational and finance structures.
