About Chris Stone

I currently serve as the Director of School Safety and Security Programs at Sigma7 Resilience and Training, a role I have held since April 2023. Prior to joining Sigma7, I spent 19 years as a school administrator, experiences that continue to shape how I think about school safety as an approach that reflects people, culture, and leadership. In my current work, I serve as the project manager for the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) School Safety and Security Training and Technical Assistance Program. I am responsible for the timely development and delivery of grant-funded training provided to school employees and safety and security coordinators across the Commonwealth, while also supporting school districts in North Carolina with Emergency Operations and Crisis Management training. My approach is rooted in collaboration and practicality. I work closely with internal and external stakeholders, oversee multidisciplinary teams of subject-matter experts, and coordinate complex initiatives with a focus on outcomes that are usable, sustainable, and grounded in the realities of school environments. I believe effective school safety work happens when behavioral health, physical security, preparedness, and leadership are treated as interconnected responsibilities.
