About Chris Tam

Over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry among multiple entities of an FI, including Global Asset Management, Wealth Management, Investment Counsel, and Retail Banking. The most recent 10 years have been in an advising and consulting role with senior executives, advisors, managers and associates. I have a strong passion in development and coaching and there's nothing more satisfying than empowering clients by leaving with a lasting impact and influence. I have excellent relationship building skills as I've held consulting roles that allowed me to build a network throughout our firms operations across the country. I'm a firm believer that everyone has their own unique personality and I encourage everyone to speak up with a "no stupid questions" approach. I'm there to listen and analyze and come up with solutions that exceeds my clients expectations. I have a smart and hard-working ethic that's been instilled in me since a young age and I'm always striving towards improvement in every aspect of life, whether it's professionally or personally. In my spare time I'm an avid traveler as it allows me to take a step back to breathe, relax, and to learn different cultures and idealogies from various countries. One of the reasons I love traveling is because I have a passion for exploring and understanding the uniqueness of each culture. I'm also a huge sports fan and aim to catch at least one sporting event from each city I'm visiting. I feel sports is a great way for me to focus in the moment and clear my head from the outside world. I also have overseas experience and completing a Masters’ in the UK along with a multiple investment industry related courses.
