About Chris Tringham

I was lucky to discover my passion at a young age. It was all triggered by a book titled ‘The Motley Fool Investment Guide for Teens', which I received for my 13th birthday. Ever since then I’ve loved learning about how to build investment strategies and how to help people make smart decisions with their money. My professional experience has spanned a range of roles in Wealth Management, diversified financials, small business consulting and entrepreneurship. Having received the CFA Charter, I am focused on combining an analytical skillset with customer service and strong communication skills. Before entering the MBA program I was an account manager with a high-net-worth Wealth Management firm in Calgary, primarily servicing Oil & Gas executives. In the MBA program I was elected the President of the Finance Club where I was responsible for helping our club members prepare for a career in the finance industry. I planned numerous guest speaking events and office visits. We also hosted alumni networking, interview preparation, and financial modelling exercises. Outside of work I stay active by being involved with many different soccer teams, as a captain, coach, and player. I also spend several weeks every summer in Turkey sailing with family.
