About Chris Vanderheyden

As the Director of Asset Management Advisory at PSD Citywide, I oversee a team of skilled professionals, providing expert guidance on asset management policies, asset lifecycle planning, risk mitigation, and infrastructure investment strategies across multiple organizations throughout Canada and the United States. PSD Citywide provides research, technology, and strategic infrastructure and asset management advisory services to local governments across North America. Since 2003, PSD Citywide has published intelligent business content in a monthly research publication intended for senior administrators in public finance and economics, infrastructure, and technology. PSD Citywide manages the largest municipal infrastructure data set in Canada. Also, our advisory services are designed to facilitate asset management, financial planning, and performance management at the local government level. We develop technically rigorous asset management plans (AMP) and work directly with municipal staff to establish a strong asset management practice at municipalities. Thought Leadership and Contributions: Apart from my day-to-day responsibilities, I provide thought leadership in the field of municipal asset management and asset data management. I have published articles and webinars sharing my insights on best practices, emerging trends, and innovative approaches to managing public infrastructure and assets effectively. I actively participate in conferences and industry forums, where I frequently deliver presentations and engage in panel discussions.
