About Chris Venn

Business is exciting; not always easy, but definitely exciting. And the thing that excites me most about it, that inspires me and energizes my work is that it calls on us to do one thing, non-stop: Be better. It's simple relentless in its call for us to improve. It's semi-accurate to subscribe to the "work harder AND smarter" idea, but there's more at play here. Our work will never be better than we are. Our businesses will never be better than we are. So the fundamental limiter, and greatest opportunity to catapult results while still having a life (we have two little kids and a cattle ranch in the Great Northern Plains of Canada), is to be on an unflinching mission to become better in every way possible: physically, mentally, intellectually, emotionally, in the craft of your business, how you work with teams, how you set strategy, how you recognize and respect how others process information, how you market, how you report and so on, and so on. Every day I get to help people Be Better at what they do, and it fuels me to do the same.
