About Chris Ward

I have worked in the electrical trade now for over 15 years. I gained a lot of experience throughout the industry by doing an apprenticeship in electrical installations after leaving school, doing day release at college while working 4 days a week. I completed my apprenticeship and became fully qualified in 2005. Having moved house (and counties) I have had to adapt and work for a few different companies doing jobs ranging from working in Domestic properties; performing upgrades & rewires, to carrying out, and overseeing full commercial & industrial installations. Having always wanted to run my own business as an electrical contractor, in April 2011, I decided to go ahead with it after the company I was working for at the time went into liquidation. I saw it as a massive opportunity, and despite the 'financial climate' that everyone speaks about, have made it work, and are currently going from strength to strength. Specialties: Electrical installations, Electrical design solutions, Contract management, We are currently involved with a number of large scale projects: Local Social housing upgrades - Performing rewires, inspections and electrical upgrades for a local authority. Working along side a main building contractor to strict budgets & timescales in order to complete works. Pharmacy refurbishments - We have recently undertaken a complete re-design & rewire of a pharmacy in Sheffield. This involved working alongside the main buiding contractor & shop fitting team in order to complete the job. This included- A full electrical design & layout for the pharmacy, shop floor, staff areas & treatment rooms- Complete LED lighting design, with automatic lighting & decorative LED lighting included- LED Emergency lighting- A full data network intsalled for pharmacy systems & EPOS tills. The saying 'Work hard, play hard' has always stood out for me. I focus most of my time on the business, and am constantly looking for new goals to acheive.
