About Chris Weimer

I am currently a weeknight News Anchor at WBOC in Salisbury, Md. I formerly worked at WAGM-TV in Presque Isle, Me, where I began my career as a general assignment reporter, moved into sports for a brief time before being named the main anchor. I later stepped into the News Director role and served in that position as well as the main anchor position for two years before deciding I needed to grow as an anchor and experience other newsrooms to better my perspective. I am extremely happy staying in the anchor role, communicating stories and serving the community. But, I also have an equally strong passion for the industry as a whole and, having been raised in a broadcast family, would always be open to eventually moving into a station management position. Regardless, I grew up in family that ran tv and radio stations and spent several years managing a newsroom, so I bring a unique and invaluable approach to working in a newsroom and a greater understanding of the whole.
