About Chris Yu

I believe that when you get to do what you love in your work, you don't consider it work - you consider it your life. Being able to help others and empowering people is what I see myself doing with my life. My experience in handling projects and teams using my strengths of effective leadership, good time management, and interpersonal skills have taught me that I have the power to do just that. Such passion and interest for helping others has led me to the world of Human Resources. With my continuous desire to learn more and improve myself, I decided to expand my horizons, moving out of my house in the Philippines to kickstart a career in Human Resources in Canada. After months of dedicated hard work in HR, I soon found out about the world of Market Research, realizing the importance of data and information in every organization. This led me to be more curious about market research, having taken a graduate certificate program in Market Research & Data Analytics (as a Dean's Lister with High Honours!) while working in the industry. After graduating, I started working as a Content Marketing Specialist for a Canadian industrial refrigeration manufacturing company and ventured into the AdTech space as a Performance Marketing Specialist. My constant learning and growth has led my career to expand to becoming a Marketing Specialist, gaining more knowledge and experience in different facets of Marketing - from Digital Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to Brand Management and Marketing Strategy & Communication. Throughout my journey in Canada, I've been constantly searching for opportunities to grow and do what I love doing, in the hopes of being able to create a social impact by bringing smiles and the power of data to the people that I work with and inspiring them to be the best that they can be in the workplace.
