I am a final year (4th semester) Nursing student at THE CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY, A Senator in the 'Student Government Association' A-member of the Honors College, as well as a secretary to the honors college (2021-2022). I am a strong believer in hard work and dedication, I strive for the betterment of myself and the people around me.During summer of 2021 I interned for the Rise Academy program at The Chicago State University were I used communication and productive mentoring skills to assist over 150 students get through a 5-weeks pre-college coursework. Throughout this internship I built good relationships with advisors and some school directors and Deans of the various departments,I also improved tremendously on my public speaking skills. I am in school to gain a nursing degree with a short term goal of being a practicing nurse and attaining certifications, as well as pursue higher education in a speciality that feels comfortable and innovating to me in the long run.
