About Christi Dortch

Christi’s resume includes: Six years on the road performing, directing, and choreographing live theater and musical revues; 25+ years at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center as the head of programming, overseeing resident group relationships, multi-department budget development and oversight. Also served leadership roles in box office operations, food & beverage, revenue management, contract development and administration, community engagement. Serving on the reopening team for the famous Westport Country Playhouse managing sales, volunteer services, oversight of database management, ticketing, and marketing contributor; Co-Producing four mainstage theater productions, a 3- days arts summit, and year-long music series; Board member and later Executive Director for TN Presenters, an arts consortium connecting TN venues with each other and others in neighboring states; The pandemic didn't dampen Christi's passion for the arts and helping organizations grow and build a strong team. Christi has served on advisory committees for two venues, worked as part of a national planning team focused on addressing attrition and developing succession plans in the performing arts community, contributed to programs focused on rebuilding institutional knowledge in entertainment, is collaborating on a new media company focused on immersive theater events, and has built her on consulting company. She is immensely grateful to find herself in a position to be able to help venues of all sizes, get back on their feet post-pandemic, rebuild their brands, and develop new & exciting strategies for growth."My aim is to help enthusiastic leaders & teams develop ways to make creative projects and financial responsibility work together. Sometimes this looks like a review of contract composition, negotiation, & administrative practices. Other times it is best reviewed from a budget & deal structures aspect and how those processes can support creative & nonprofit events. And then other times it involves a review of operational practices, vendor relationships, and looking at the everyday as a new opportunity for growth. My goal is to help you pinpoint the issue that are keeping you from your goals."
