ROLE PURPOSE- Full responsibility of the operations, with more than 100 employees, divided in 3 production sites in Italy- Responsible for the production of canvas interlining, with a wide variety of process technologies, through the whole process (carding, spinning, weaving, finishing, converting). Including production planning, controlling, internal logistic, QC and R&D activity, maintenance- Responsible for crisis management, health, safety and environmental protection and compliance with laws and internal company regulations- Acting globally as Canvas Product Manager, providing guidance and support for developments, sourcing and quality definition, also for Asian suppliers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for achieving financial targets and production KPIs- Management and development of subordinate staff- Responsible for ensuring full compliance for management systems (ISO 9001 quality, ISO OHSAS 18001), quality certifications (Oeko-tex and REACH), laws and internal regulations- Definition of production strategy and operational planning (human resources management, cost control, investment planning)- Ensuring the technical availability of systems, processes and products, with an Operational Excellence and continuous improvement approach. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinate Steering Team - Interface with top-management - Global Canvas Product Manager (development of new styles, range and quality definition, scouting and validation of Asian supplier’s capabilities)- Continuous research of new competitive suppliers and contractors SPECIFIC SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE- Very good technical background - Process/method knowledge - Ability to work in interdisciplinary groups - Personal conduct and integrity to the highest standards - Works efficiently, in structured and organized way, and provides corresponding good results COMPETENCIES- Project management - Decision making - Empowers others - Results oriented
