Background

About Christian Downs

I am an Automation Engineer at Mattel TV, where I lead the development of an innovative automated payroll system using Python and Google Cloud tools. This system revolutionized a critical component of the finance operation, reducing the completion time from three days to one hour. I also collaborate closely with the accounting division, translating their complex requirements into a streamlined, automated solution, demonstrating strong interpersonal and technical integration skills. Before joining Mattel TV, I completed a Certificate in C#/.NET Full Stack Development at Claim Academy, where I graduated as the Most Valuable Programmer. I also work as a Full-stack Developer at UST, where I apply my advanced skills in Groovy, Python, and Java to manage and retrieve complex datasets, process data into JSON-like format, and develop dynamic, interactive graphs and charts using Chart.js. I am passionate about solving complex software challenges with innovative and efficient solutions, and I thrive in both independent and collaborative environments.
