About Christian Hackworth

I received my undergraduate from the Harmon College of Business at Central Missouri, graduating in December of 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance. I wanted to get into Finance for a lot of reasons, but the top ones include taking on what I believe is the most challenging industry in the world, and helping people manage their hard earned money. These desires led me to Central Missouri because of their experience in their financial department and their challenging course work that have been developing me and my peers.One course in particular is the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) that I am currently apart of, and will remain apart of until my graduation. The SMIF manages more than in its portfolio I myself have overseen three securities that the portfolio holds. The SMIF includes Bloomberg Terminals that are used for the analysis of the SMIF's portfolio, as well as the ability to analyze and pitch new securities to add to the portfolio, or replace old securities. The class has also allowed us to develop and present our own Analyst Reports to the class and as an opportunity to put the skills we have learned to the test.After my time at Central Missouri, I hope to begin a career in investing and eventually become a fund manager of my own. I am certain that the skills I have learned at Central Missouri along with my drive and passion for Finance will allow me to succeed in this venture.Thanks for reading,Christian Hackworth
