About Christian Hoffmann

I have a drive for BI, data analyzing and data modeling. I prefer doing BI-architecture, data modeling and especially ETL (Extract Transform Load). I have 16 years of experience understanding and transforming the business needs into dimensions, facts and BI-reports. I have supplemented my university degree with IPMA D and TOGAF architect certifications. I have completed courses on data modellering, performance and coding.I speak SQL fluently and have years of ETL hands on experience - using both Oracle and Microsoft products first on premise and later in the cloud. I have put together reports and dashboards cooperating with the business using several frontend tools for example Report Builder and Power BI. I have experience from both the public sector and the private sector. In the Danish prison and Probation service I worked as project manager and developer of the BI-system for eight years followed by some years as BI-developer at University of Copenhagen. The last two years I have designed and built a data warehouse from scratch using Azure. The work included loading and transforming data, modeling and building reports in Power BI. I have studied Python using Udemy in order to get a better insight in Data Science and Machine Learning.I am 46 year old, married and have one child aged 12. I live in Copenhagen and enjoy good foods and traveling.
