About Christian Iverson

Since the summer of 2014 I have been employed as a remote sensing and geospatial analyst at Quantum Spatial, now NV5 Geospatial. Most of our modeling is LiDAR based, using areal and mobile mounted LiDAR sensors. I have worked primarily in electrical transmission and distribution system modeling, clearance detection, and new construction land surveys. I have experience working on modeling and clearance detection for very large scale, interstate systems as well as small scale, high detail asset surveys. In my position as a production manager I have managed and trained teams of up to 10 people at a time both in-office as well as in a remote setting, through zoom and google video conferencing. I am a productive and efficient self guided worker comfortable in a remote setting. I have a graduate certification in GIS from the University of Denver with a gpa of 4.0. Specific areas of study were environmental GIS, natural hazards GIS, public health GIS, network analysis, remote sensing, and UAV's. My educational background is in fine art (BA 2004), and my professional background has included botanical gardens, wholesale greenhouses, residential and commercial painting, and some dabbling in self employment as a gardener/artist working with vertical gardens. I have an ongoing interest in forestry and the national forests and I do volunteer ground truthing with a local forest advocacy group collecting data on forest conditions.
