Since November 2020 I'm working as a Senior Scientist in the Cell-Based Assays department of Alvotech Germany GmbH. My responsibilities include, among others, the development and validation of cell-based potency assays (reporter gene assays, effector function assays, proliferation & apoptosis assays) in accordance with USP and ICH guidelines. Together with a fantastic team, we are conducting comparability studies that provide the required data to prove biosimilarity of our product. Moreover, I am conducting the transfer of potency lot release assays to our QC laboratory on Iceland. My daily tasks also include writing and reviewing of SOPs as well as reporting and presentig data to respective audiences. Before I joined Alvotech I completed my Ph. D. in cell biology, whereat my main project comprised the characterization and validation of the pharmacological applicability of small molecule PDEδ inhibitors in 2-D as well as 3-D cell culture cancer model systems. My goal-oriented functioning together with my capacity for teamwork are reflected in a multitude of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
