About Christiane Badenhorst

High school debating tournaments piqued my interest in communication, negotiation and problem-solving and developed my legislative interpretation skills from a young age. I was especially inspired by the Model United Nations style of debating, researching, negotiating, communicating and drafting working policy proposals. At university I managed the Boland Schools Debating League in which I competed during high school, leading to a portfolio on the University of Stellenbosch Debating Society and appointment as secretary for the Western Cape Schools Debating League. The drafting of constitutions alongside legal professionals, registration of non-profit companies and compiling proposals for funding inadvertently started my journey towards compliance management. My BCom degree in Compliance and Risk Management will be completed by the end of 2022 and, as a distance learning student, I have had the opportunity to gain valueble experiece in the financial services industry. I am a self-motivated, proactive, and action-oriented individual who takes the initiative to pursue an innovative solution.
