About Christina Antony

I am a current nursing student going for my BSN and a current volunteer in an alzheimer's/dementia unit for one day a week. I am working on getting my CNA recertification so I can begin working as a CNA. Previously I have volunteered in a trauma center emergency department and a non-trauma center emergency department. I am currently Phlebotomy Technician certified and CPR certified; I was previously EKG Technician certified until November of 2012. As of today, my experience comes from doing clinicals at Brookfield Rehabilitation Center where I am able to further advance my skills; here my role is to: administer medications/narcotics (to patients experiencing moderate to severe pain due to a variety of conditions including postop surgeries), give subcut injections, take accuchecks, perform nebulizer treatments in asthmatic/COPD patients, give IV's/IV pushes of regular and high-alert medications, give enteral/parenteral tube feedings, administer appropriate wound care, and perform appropriate health assessments related to patients diseases/comorbidities and make the appropriate clinical judgement based on my evaluation.
