About Christina Jerrold

I started working in the mental health field in 2005. I started my work with elementary and middle school-aged students in the Ravenswood City School District. I utilized the Brief Therapy Model, Art Therapy, Play Therapy and Talk Therapy at the start of my practicum. Two years later I started to work for The Sequoia Center with the focus of dual diagnosis. I held various roles including but not limited to residential counselor, IOP case manager, RTC/PHP program manager, and group facilitator. Therapeutic focus included Motivational Interviewing, addiction curriculum, skills based approaches along with Art Therapy, and process groups. I re-entered the school system late 2014. My focus was to create mental health programs within the Special Education system within various assigned Bay Area schools within the San Mateo School District. I was involved in creating a program for school refusal, piloting the program, and promoting it. I had experience with direct individual service, participation in IEP meetings, co-facilitation of psychoeducational, grief, and CBT groups for teens. In 2017, I was hired to work with the Camden Center as the Program Director for the second location in Menlo Park. I was tasked to open the Camden Center from the ground up (e.g, prepare the space for therapeutic services, meet with staff in LA to prepare, train and organize the various systems needed to open the clinic, hire admin staff, reach out to clinicians to build the team). The clinic officially opened in August of 2017. The Program Director role was held for 4-1/2 years before transitioning into the Director of Clinical Metrics role. I assisted in the move to the San Francisco location. I have participated in the APA application process with a fellow colleague and have earned 2-year CE sponsorships in 2017, 2019, 2021, and a 5 year sponsorship in 2023. I continue in the role of Director of Clinical Metrics, as a pre-admission assessment clinician, and leadership support.
