About Christine Bauer

Early in her college years Christine became enthralled by research regarding child development and innovations in the field of early childhood education. In 2006 Christine started her professional career at the Humboldt State University Child Development Lab and continued her work with designing constructivist curriculum for children at Pacific Primary Yellow Sun School in San Francisco. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in child and adolescent development from San Francisco State University. Christine joined Colorado early childhood educators and advocates in 2011 when she headed east from the Bay Area to simultaneously earn a Master’s Degree in educational psychology from the University of Colorado, Denver while also teaching pre-kindergarten at Boulder Journey School. She enjoyed the school's collaboration with educators from the municipal schools in Reggio Emilia, Italy and continues to be inspired by innovative learning practices alive around the world. Post graduation she has worked at Head Start, private and non-profit programs, gaining valuable leadership experiences in coaching, curriculum development, administration and instructional design, management of professional development and community relationship building. In her time “off campus” Christine enjoys hiking through dense forest with her husband, taking her dog “Turtle” around town and caring for their little backyard homestead.
