About Christine Carpenter

I’ve always been fascinated by what drives people—what motivates us, where we get stuck, and how we relate to one another in ways that help us thrive (or not). For more than two decades, I’ve worked at the intersection of psychology and personal growth, first as a clinical psychologist and later as a coach, educator, and group facilitator. My early career focused on therapy with individuals, couples, and long-term groups, and I later founded a dating coaching practice for high-achieving professionals who had succeeded in most areas of life but struggled to find lasting partnership. Over time, that work naturally expanded into helping people lead more authentic and connected lives—not just in love, but in leadership. As co-founder of DeepNorth Leadership Coaching, I now work with executives, rising leaders and leadership teams through immersive coaching, interpersonal intensives, and experiential groups. I also serve as Clinical Professor of Leadership at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where I teach the Interpersonal Dynamics course—a transformational experience that helps MBA students build self-awareness and relational fluency through experiential group-based learning. My coaching blends psychological depth with practical insight, directness, and a touch of humor. I’m especially interested in how self-awareness and interpersonal skill shape the way leaders influence, connect, and drive change—not just in their organizations, but in themselves.
