2021-present, as a leader [Central Services Manager], I provide afterhours management and guidance to all addictions & mental health (AMH) programs that are offered by Alberta Health Services, specific to the Edmonton Zone. I facilitate an integrated continuum of service delivery through collaborative relationships within AMH as well as external agencies. Additionally, I maintain current health care knowledge, with specific emphasis on information relevant to the patient population served in AMH programs, and staff resources required to meet those needs. I engage all disciplines and available resources to address and resolve specific issues and concerns. Furthermore, I participate in strategic planning, identify budget requirements (human, material & capital), provide leadership with professional and ancillary staff, and sustain healthy working relationships and environments. 2019-2021, I worked as a Nurse Clinician [Credentialed Trainer], and was responsible for the classroom training for super users, leaders, and other users of several Connect Care programs. This entailed role-based training of content using a variety of software programs, non-medical devices, and applications for audiences of 1-45 adult learners. I have supported AMH, Emergency, & Long Term Care departments during Connect Care launches, which required in-depth working knowledge of CIS functionality across the continuum of inpatient, ambulatory, and specialized departments. 2014-2021, I provided care as a Registered Nurse (RN). In this role, I utilized critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills - as well as counseled, and advocated, on behalf of patients and their visitors & families. I demonstrated leadership as a nurse mentor to students and new hires, and as a Charge Nurse. Furthermore, I have supported the holistic approach to patient care, and health promotion. Finally, I provided safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
