About Christopher Allen

I am hardworking, highly motivated, complete all tasks to the best of my ability and am always eager to learn and improve myself. After leaving University I undertook some diverse roles and acquired a variety of transferable skills. I work equally well as part of a team or individually, under my own initiative. My most recent employment was as a Personal Assistant for a Quadriplegic under an Independent Living Scheme. I held this role for over two years and prior to this I spent many months giving personal care to my father when he was left bed-bound after a leg injury. I also have experience of caring for my Granddad who was suffering with cancer before he required full time residential care and for my uncle who has severe learning difficulties and resides in a care home. These have given me many of the skills required to pursue a career in the care industry, which is something that I feel passionate about and I feel a real sense of accomplishment knowing that I have helped someone. I have also learnt to be very adaptable as every day brings a new challenge.
