About Christopher Anderson

As a passionate advocate for education, I serve across the nation as an advisor and consultant with arts organizations. In my role as a public speaker I engage teachers, administrators, and executive leaders in developing a strategic mission for advocacy. As the Director of Fine Arts at Arlington ISD, I oversee the development and implementation of arts education programs and facilities for over students and 340 staff across more than 75 campuses. With a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Conducting from The University of Texas at Austin, I bring both academic and practical expertise to my role, ensuring high-quality instruction and performance opportunities for all students. I have more than 25 years of experience in arts education, spanning higher education and K-12 settings, as well as large and diverse organizations. I have successfully led teams, projects, and initiatives that enhanced arts education access, equity, and excellence, such as curriculum development, educational consulting, team building, and advocacy. I am passionate about creating and sustaining a culture of arts appreciation and participation, and empowering students and staff to pursue their artistic potential and expression.
