About Christopher Annan

With 13+ years of experience in the mining industry, I am a professional geologist and an exploration coordinator at Agnico Eagle Mines Limited, one of the largest gold producers in the world. I oversee and support exploration activities in the Hope Bay region of Nunavut, Canada, where we aim to discover and develop high-grade gold deposits in a safe and sustainable manner. I have a strong background in geology and field work, with a focus on underground mining projects. I use my data management expertise and my proficiency in various software applications, such as Leapfrog, to provide the project with a comprehensive and efficient workflow. I am passionate about finding and extracting valuable minerals from the earth, and I enjoy working with a diverse and talented team of geologists, engineers, and technicians. I have successfully contributed to several production projects in the past, such as the Doris Mine, where I led the department as a senior geologist. I hold a BSc in Geology from Acadia University, a Geological Technician diploma from Fleming College, and a PGeo credential from the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario.
