I am an ambitious, adaptable and confident individual who graduated from the University of Hull with a First-Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering (MEng) at the master’s level. I am currently applying for operations and finance positions as this will allow me to use skills that I have developed in my current role as well as skills I am currently learning while studying for a Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting through AAT.I have developed and improved a number of skills within my current role such as: communication whether its talking to a colleague in one of the European offices or sending a detailed update to senior management, Excel using pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s to gain useful information from large data sets and applying it to the situation and problems solving issues from internal and external customers.In previous roles, I have used a number of skills such as: customer service by providing a high quality, tailored experience to the customer and time management as certain tasks, such as working chilled stock, need to be done within a time limit or other tasks needed to be done at certain times of the day, the bakery for example.In my spare time I am currently undertaking an accountancy course and received a Merit for the level 2 course through AAT. Skills I have learned include: Control Accounts, Daybooks (Discounts Allowed, Discounts Received, Purchase and Purchase Return, Sales and Sales Return), Double Entry Bookkeeping, Ledgers (General, Purchase and Sales), Sage 50 and Trial Balances.
